Toddler Daycare in CT Built for Curious, Growing Minds

Play-based toddler program for children ages 1 to 2 across our Wilton, Monroe and Bethel campuses.

The Toddler Years Are Unlike Any Other

One day they are crawling. The next they are running, climbing, pointing at everything and saying a new word every single morning. The toddler years move fast and every single day something new is happening inside that little brain, At Honey Tree our toddler program is designed specifically for this stage. Not too structured. Not too loose. A warm thoughtful balance of guided play, independence, language building and social connection that matches exactly where 1 and 2 year olds actually are developmentally.
Our toddler rooms are busy, joyful places where children are encouraged to explore, ask questions, make messes, try again and grow a little more every single day. All three of our campuses in Wilton, Monroe and Bethel offer our toddler program with the same warm family owned approach that Honey Tree has been known for since 2002.

What Makes Our CT Toddler Program Different

Child Directed Play
We believe toddlers learn best when they get to lead. Our teachers set up rich engaging environments and then follow the child’s curiosity rather than forcing them through a rigid schedule. This approach builds confidence, creativity and a genuine love of learning from an early age.
Language Rich Classrooms

The toddler years are when language explodes. Our teachers narrate everything, read out loud daily, sing throughout the day and respond meaningfully to every word and gesture. Our toddler program, gives children the language rich environment that research shows produces the strongest vocabulary development.

Watch Me Grow Live Cameras

Enrolled families in our toddler program get private 24/7 access to live HD cameras in the toddler room. See your little one stacking blocks, painting, laughing with friends or napping peacefully. Real time peace of mind from your phone at any moment of the day.

Small Groups and Low Ratios

A balance of individual and group activities, along with a balance of child-directed and teacher-guided learning experiences

Real-Time Parent Updates

Every activity, meal, nap and milestone gets logged and sent straight to your phone through the Parent App. You never miss a moment even when you are at work or running errands during the day.

Consistent Familiar Teachers
Toddlers thrive on consistency and familiar faces. At Honey Tree our teachers stay with us year after year which means your toddler builds real bonds with the same people every single day rather than adjusting to a new face every few months.

How We Support Your Toddler's Growth Every Day

Ages 1 to 2 is one of the most dramatic developmental periods in a child’s life. Here is how our toddler program supports every area of your child’s growth.

Language and Communication

Toddlers are in the middle of a language explosion and our classrooms are built to fuel it. Teachers talk constantly, name everything, read picture books throughout the day and celebrate every new word. Children in our toddler program leave with noticeably stronger vocabulary and communication skills.

Cognitive Growth

Simple puzzles, shape sorters, color matching, counting and sorting activities fill our toddler rooms. These hands on materials develop early problem solving, memory and cause and effect thinking in a way that feels like pure play to your child.

Physical Development

Gross motor skills like running, climbing and jumping are supported through outdoor play and movement activities every day. Fine motor skills like holding a crayon, stacking blocks and using a spoon are built into daily routines and activities throughout the morning and afternoon.

Social and Emotional Skills

Learning to share, take turns, use words instead of crying and play alongside other children are all enormous milestones for toddlers. Our teachers guide these social moments with warmth and patience every single day without rushing or shaming the process.

Independence and Self Help

Putting on shoes. Washing hands. Cleaning up toys. These small acts of independence matter enormously at this age. Our toddler program, builds self help skills into the daily routine so your child feels capable, confident and proud of what they can do on their own.

WATCH ME GROW

Watch Me Grow Live Camera Daycare You Can Trust

Toddlers change so fast that missing a single day can feel like missing something important. Watch Me Grow makes sure you never feel disconnected from your child’s world even on your busiest days.
Once your toddler is enrolled in our toddler program you get private 24/7 access to live HD cameras in the toddler room. Open the app from your desk, your car or your lunch break and see your little one in real time. Watch them figure out a puzzle. See them making a new friend. Catch them singing along to a song their teacher is leading.
This is something most toddler program providers in, simply do not offer and it is one of the features Honey Tree families consistently say makes the biggest difference in how they feel about leaving their child each morning.

Testimonials

What CT Parents Say About Our Toddler Program

These are real words from real parents who trusted us with their babies.

"My son started the toddler room at Honey Tree Monroe at 14 months and the difference in his language development over the first three months was genuinely remarkable. He went from a handful of words to full sentences faster than we expected. His teachers are warm, consistent and he absolutely loves going every morning."
Jessica R.

Monroe parent

"We were nervous about the transition from the infant room but his toddler teachers made it so smooth. They already knew his personality from the infant room and the Watch Me Grow cameras made the first week so much easier for us. We could check in anytime and see him happily playing. Could not ask for more."
Tom and Sarah K.

Wilton parents

"What I love most about the toddler program at Honey Tree Bethel is that my daughter is genuinely happy there every single day. She runs in every morning. Her teachers know her favorite songs, her favorite toys and exactly how to help her when she gets frustrated. That level of care is not something you find at a big franchise Care."

FAQ

Questions CT Parents Ask About Toddler Daycare

What ages are accepted in the toddler program?

Our toddler program welcomes children from 1 year old through 2 years old at all three of our campuses. Once children are ready to move up we transition them naturally into our preschool program.

Child directed play means teachers set up rich inviting environments and then follow the child's lead rather than pushing every child through the same rigid activities at the same time. Research consistently shows this approach builds stronger problem solving, creativity and confidence in toddlers than adult led instruction alone.

Our teachers are experienced in toddler development and understand that big emotions are completely normal at this age. We use calm, patient redirection and give children the words they need to express themselves. We never shame or punish toddlers for developmentally appropriate behavior.

Yes we offer both full time and part time schedules across all three campuses. Contact your closest location to check current availability as toddler spots fill up quickly throughout the year.

We handle every transition individually based on your child's readiness rather than their age alone. We talk with you about the timing, introduce your child to the new room gradually and make sure they feel comfortable before the full move happens.

Click the Schedule a Tour button anywhere on this page or call your closest campus directly. Tours take about 30 minutes and we encourage you to bring every question you have with you.
