The People Who Make Honey Tree What It Is
At a franchise preschool you meet a brand. At Honey Tree you meet real people.
Our leadership team is built on experience, genuine love for children and a shared belief that early childhood education is one of the most important things anyone can do with their career. These are not people who took a job. They are people who chose a calling and have stayed with it for years.
Danielle Gallop, Owner
Danielle Gallop opened the first Honey Tree campus in Monroe in 2002 with her husband Mike and has led the organization with passion and purpose ever since. She holds a BA in English and spent 12 years in marketing before following her heart into early childhood education.
Danielle is certified by the State of Connecticut as an Education Consultant and provides seminars, teaching strategies and compliance support to multiple schools across the state. She is a former Board Member of the Safety Committee for the Board of Education in Brookfield and served as Director of the Girls Youth Lacrosse Program in Brookfield for 6 years.
Beyond the school Danielle is a dedicated community member. She was Secretary for Hope for Heroes Foundation, an organization that supports fire, police, EMS and military personnel disabled in the line of duty. She is also a Girl Scout leader, a Lacrosse enthusiast and a proud Jets and Mets fan.
Most of all Danielle is a mother who understands exactly what families need because she has lived it herself. She brings that understanding to every decision she makes at Honey Tree every single day.
“I believe that children, like flowers, grow and flourish with care, attention, and love. Here at Honey Tree, we sprinkle the children with love and encouragement daily.”
HONEY TREE RIGHT FOR YOUR BABY
Is Our Infant program Right for Your Family
Every family is different and we never believe one size fits all when it comes to infant care. Here is an honest guide to help you decide.
Ms. Kaia, Executive Director
Ms. Kaia has been part of the Honey Tree family since before she can remember. Growing up as the owner’s daughter she watched this school being built, saw the hard work behind it and eventually decided she wanted to be part of it herself.
She has worked at Honey Tree in nearly every capacity since 2012 and has been an on site Director since the fall of 2019. She graduated with a BA in English from Binghamton University and played Lacrosse at the collegiate level.
Ms. Kaia has been instrumental in developing and implementing Honey Tree’s core values: Respect, Caring, Support, Growth and Enthusiasm. She is an exceptional role model for both children and staff and brings fresh energy and modern leadership to the organization her family built.
Ms. Anne, Education Coordinator
Ms. Anne has been teaching at Honey Tree since 2011 and has become one of the most valued members of the entire team. She holds an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education and brings deep expertise in child development, lesson planning and classroom management to every interaction she has with staff and children.
Ms. Anne works with all new staff joining Honey Tree, sharing her knowledge and helping them hit the ground running. She has worked with every age group across the campuses and genuinely loves watching children grow physically, cognitively, socially and emotionally.
Her own children Sophia and Dominick both attended and graduated from Honey Tree which says everything about the confidence she has in the school she has helped build.
“No two days are alike. It is always exciting and truly rewarding to know that I am making a difference.”
Ms. Sam, Center Director, Monroe
Ms. Sam joined the Honey Tree Administrative Team in 2023 and has made an immediate and lasting impact on the Monroe campus. She brings over 10 years of experience working with children starting as a camp counselor and growing into leadership roles at both corporate and independent childcare centers.
She graduated with honors from Arizona State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education in 2022. Her combination of formal education, real world experience and natural leadership ability makes her an outstanding resource for both the Monroe staff and the families they serve.
Ms. Sam loves working with children and staff equally and has embraced her leadership role with energy, warmth and complete dedication from day one.
Ms. Sue, Center Director - Wilton
Ms. Sue joined Honey Tree as Center Director of the Wilton campus in 2022 bringing with her over 10 years of experience as a childcare director. Her depth of knowledge, calm leadership style and genuine passion for helping children grow make her an exceptional fit for the Honey Tree family.
Wilton families know Ms. Sue as someone who is always present, always approachable and always focused on making the Wilton campus the best possible environment for every child who walks through the door.
What Our Teachers Believe
Every teacher at Honey Tree shares a common thread. They did not end up here by accident. They chose early childhood education because they believe in it deeply.
Our teachers stay. That is the thing families notice most. In an industry where staff turnover is one of the biggest problems families face, Honey Tree teachers come back year after year. Because we invest in them. Because we value their expertise. Because we have built a workplace where people feel supported, respected and genuinely appreciated.
When your child’s teacher has been in the same classroom for three or four years they know your child in a way that no new hire ever could. That consistency is one of the most important gifts we give to the children in our care.
